Survival fiction worth reading.
By floramarie
A good book, written from the view of a woman survivalist who has a brain and knows how to use it. Since "prepping" has become a popular subject there has been a rush of would be writers jumping on the bandwagon-their books are usually found free on Amazon for Kindle. Most of the freebies make a reader wince, the blood and gore overdone, the grammar atrocious, the characters one dimensional-men are gun toting brutes, women are victims to be rescued. Not so in Moore's book. Her characters are solid, the dialogue real, and the situations are believable. For new preppers who are looking for a road map Moore has written a guide within her story. For survivalists who've been preparing for years the story line keeps the reader's attention, and the prepping Deborah does might prompt a forgotten item of importance-and there are many, many items we use every day that would be essential in a grid down situation. Watch the news. Think about the earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes, wild fires and hurricanes, as well as civil unrest. Read the book.

Very Useful Page Turner
By Ron E. Bowman
This was perhaps the most entertaining and useful “Prepper Novel” I’ve read since “One Second After”. I think I got lucky & picked it up on Book Bub for $1.99 or less. If you are in it for blood, gore, and apocalypse zombies, this book is not for you, although there is plenty of realistic blood spilled to satisfy this taste you may have. Instead, this book began as a journal, written by a lady who was a true prepper before it became vogue. From what I understand, she’d share each chapter with a small group of friends, before she decided to put it in book form, written entirely in first person format. She gets into detail about the things she stored and how she went about it, little by little, which anyone can do. She also shares her canning, bread making, maple syrup harvesting, and numerous day to day needs that often get overlooked in shoot-em-up survival novels. My only problem is her location is in northern Michigan and all the problems she had to solve with bitter freezing temps & snow. I live in NW Florida and/or SA where we have little issues with hard prolonged freezes. But every page contained a useful nugget of info one might eventually need any place you are when the ‘lights go out’. It’s hard to put these terms in the same sentence, but this is a page turning journal. I highly recommend any prepper & their male or female spouse to read.

EVERY BOOK SO FAR BY MS. MORE IS A "NUMBER 10"!
By KENNALEA
If you are interested in disaster preparedness, you absolutely must include all books by this author on your bookshelf! This series is fiction, interesting, engrossing and impossible to put down fiction. But in every book, and darn near every page, you will find information and education that very well may keep you alive when the inevitable disaster occurs. Ms. Moore is an experienced prepper of many years; in many if not most ways she is already living the life of the survivor. I respect her knowledge and endorse her credibility to give advice on ways to make it when TSHTF. Buy her paper books; I started with Kindle editions then realized that I wanted to have permanently available copies. They are that full of information that may save my family's lives; at the very least they will shorten the time to learn what to do. I am adding them to my children's library shelves as well, as a precaution. If 5 is the highest rating allowed, Ms. Moore deserves a 10!
