A love affair with the English Language

When was the last time you read, much less used the word, kerfuffle?
You may laugh and maybe shed a tear for a dead brother, but what you will come away with, after reading Patrick Ness's latest book, is the satification of having romped through 10 stories by an author well disciplined, not lazy and in absoultly love with the language.

Patrick Ness is sooo overlooked, he isn't just for kids, you know!

I love Patrick Ness. Where was he when I was a kid? Oh yeah, not born. I don't believe it. Reading his books makes me realize this must be his 3rd or 4th incarnation.
This book, as all of them, is funny, horrifying, scary, and makes you think, "why didn't I write that???"
He should have won the pulitzer for More Than This. Or at least a Wentworth. But noooo, all he got was a nomination for Locus, 9th place. Makes you want to weep. Like I did when I read a Monster Calls.
Read this. Read all his books. More than once. They are worth it.
